I’ve just spent some time on Ashlee’ Haze’s website soaking up her words, and damn, she is amazing.  Her voice is strong and unwavering. Her confidence is loud and proud.  Her words sing and slap and ebb and flow, and then stroke your head like a mother’s caress.  She is a poet and spoken word artist.  She is a powerful presence that cannot be ignored, and we are so grateful to have her here with us today.

1. Tell us in a few sentences what you do. And why you do it.
I’m a poet, podcaster, and a producer. As a poet, I perform poetry all over the country and also teach arts workshops. As a podcaster, I teach people the art of self mastery- how to understand themselves and how to use love based ethics to create the lives and careers we want. As a producer, I take my art and education materials and produce visual media including producing a cooking show and a series called “The Writer’s Room with Ashlee Haze. ” I do all of these things in hopes that through art and media I can help people learn more about themselves. It is my hope that through these various mediums, I can inspire change within our communities and bring us closer to love and to each other.

3. When I wake up in the morning the first thing I do is…
